We are committed to giving you a good service, details of which are explained in our practice leaflet. Our Charter explains how by working together we can achieve the standards towards which we are working.


  • Respect
  • A courteous welcome by a receptionist
  • A 5 minute appointment on the same day if urgent
  • A 10 minute appointment within three days if routine
  • An explanation if you are kept waiting for more than 30 minutes
  • Telephone advice from a doctor between 11.30 and 12.00
  • Repeat prescriptions within three full working days of receiving your written request
  • A health check for all new patients registering at the practice
  • Respect for religious and cultural beliefs
  • Access to patient notes
  • A referral to secondary care if your GP thinks it appropriate
  • Make comments, complaints, suggestions freely, in private with the practice manager
  • Confidentiality
  • Entitlement to a chaperone if required
  • Offer healthy living advice as appropriate


  • Telephone before 11.00 if you need a visit
  • Arrive on time for your appointment or cancel with as much notice as possible
  • Use our on-line appointment and prescription orders if you can
  • Only call for test results after 11.00
  • Remember that an appointment is for only one person and only 1 or at most 2 issues can be discussed. If you need more time, you will be asked to re-book
  • Keep your contact details up to date especially your mobile number to get appointment reminders
  • Request repeat prescriptions in writing (or on-line if you can)
  • Let the receptionist know if you are meeting somebody here to protect your confidentiality we are unable to tell enquirers whether you are in the building.
  • Use our limited parking responsibly
  • Make use of our website to source health information .
  • Treat our receptionists, doctors and nurses with the courtesy and respect you expect to receive.
