Doctors hold surgeries at both Rickmansworth and Chorleywood throughout the week, offering full services at both locations.
Routine consultations with the Gade Surgery doctors are made by appointment. Please telephone or call at the surgery if you wish to see a doctor. Urgent cases will be seen the same day; otherwise you will be offered the first available appointment. If you request an urgent appointment, you will be offered a five minute emergency appointment and the doctor will only be able to deal with an urgent medical problem requiring immediate attention. If you wish to raise any other matter with the doctor you will need to book a routine appointment. Overseas visitors can be seen by appointment.
Our lines are open from 8.00 am to 1.00pm, and from 2.00pm to 6.15 pm. They can be very busy in the early morning, so for non-urgent matters we suggest ringing later in the day. To find out results of tests, please ring between 11.00 am and 5.00pm. To speak to the doctor, please ring after surgery at about 11.30am. If you wish to speak to the nurse, please ring from 11.45 am-12.30pm.
When being examined by the doctor some patients feel more comfortable with a chaperone. If you wish someone else to be present during examinations, please tell the receptionist so that this can be arranged. The doctor may also offer this service if an intimate examination is necessary. At Chorleywood surgery due to low staffing numbers this may not always be available and so examination would have to be re-scheduled. If a chaperone is used they would be required to watch the examination.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
